Google Search (Regular)

Click on the image above to access a regular Google search.

You can also try a regular Google search:

Search by Artist Name with Additional Keywords: When you search for an artist by name and add specific keywords like "website," "biography," "criticism," or "exhibition reviews," Google tailors the search results to include more targeted information. For example:

Artist Name + Website: This search will prioritize the artist's official website or pages where their work is featured.
Artist Name + Biography: This search will bring up biographical information about the artist, including their life, career, and achievements.
Artist Name + Criticism: This search will focus on critical reviews and analyses of the artist's work, including articles and essays.
Artist Name + Exhibition Reviews: This search will highlight reviews of the artist's exhibitions, providing insights from critics and visitors.

By adding these specific keywords, you can narrow down the search results to find the most relevant and detailed information about the artist.

Citation

Structure:
Author(s). (Year). Title of work. Website Name. URL

Example:
Art Institute Chicago. (n.d.). Katsushika Hokusai. https://www.artic.edu/artists/31492/katsushika-hokusai

(Author and website name are the same)

Use the webpages and websites category if there is no other reference category that fits and the work has no parent or overarching publication (e.g., journal, blog, conference proceedings) other than the website itself
